Description
ShurGreen Farms. LLC. is looking for an equipment mechanic capable of working independently or in a small team setting. This person would handle monitoring and fixing machinery, a fleet of trucks, and assorted recycling type machinery as well as preventative maintenance on all. Our mechanics use specialized skills and experience to locate and diagnose the equipment's problem and then generate a cost-effective solution. This would include computer-aided systems to help troubleshoot and even repair the faulty part or parts as needed.

We combine deep industry expertise with expansive facilities and a wholly-owned fleet of trucks, dry vans, tankers, semi-trailers, roll-off lidded containers, and refrigerated trailers. We serve customers in the food, beverage, liquid sludge, and packaging industries.

Qualifications
-
One (1) year mechanics experience
-
High school or equivalent is preferred with technical college or more is a plus
-
English language skills to communicate clearly and effectively - Spanish is a plus

Must be able to work in all weather conditions

Experience in industrial recycling equipment is a plus
Responsibilities

Performs any duties as directed by supervisor

Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed

Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools

Determining causes of operating errors, analyzing, and correcting problems

Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance

Understanding the implications of the latest information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making

Maintain a positive attitude with customers and coworkers

Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business needs

Perform other duties as needed
