Description
ShurGreen Farms, LLC., is looking to hire a Feed Manager to oversee our feed rendering process. This position is responsible for leading and supervising employees in our organic rendering process environment and ensuring established daily production and quality targets are achieved. The Feed Manager will utilize their skill, experience, and decision-making ability to ensure the product meets a company, customer, compliance, and government specifications.
ShurGreen Farms. LLC. is an organic material recycling company. We combine deep industry expertise with expansive facilities and a wholly-owned fleet of trucks, dry vans, tankers, semi-trailers, roll-off lidded containers, and refrigerated trailers. We serve customers in the food, beverage, liquid sludge, and packaging industries.
Qualifications

Two (2) plus years experience in a rendering operation or equivalent environment

Bachelor's degree in agriculture, animal science, or feed facility management preferred

Strong management experience required

Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Experience with rendering processes formulations and knowledge of the machinery required

Must fit with company culture and business practices

Must have strong analytical and reporting skills

Ability to do the physical requirements of the job

Microsoft Office experience required

Detail-oriented with the ability to problem-solve and implement corrective actions

Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

Language skills to communicate clearly and effectively in English - Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

Manage feed rendering operations team allowing for company compliance with all associated Federal regulations

Implement and maintain safety standards as required company compliance with all associated Federal regulations

Manage and direct projects as they relate to the feed management process

Manage processes to increase yields and decrease costs

Manage budgets and cost improvement opportunities

Utilize problem-solving techniques, teamwork building strategies, and process control tools

Travel as required and needed

Perform other duties as needed or required

Compensation

Salary range - $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience and qualifications

2 weeks paid vacation

Up to 3 personal days off annually
