Description

ShurGreen Farms, LLC., is looking to hire a Plant Manager. This person will be responsible for the management and direction of all production operations at our facility in Ansonia, Ohio. The primary focus of this role is to plan, direct, and oversee production business concerns, including safety, rendering activities, personnel management, budget management, cost control, and operating efficiencies. This person will provide management oversight of day-to-day operations and long-term production work, activities, and project work.

ShurGreen Farms, LLC., is an organic material recycling company. We combine deep industry expertise with expansive facilities and a wholly-owned fleet of trucks, dry vans, tankers, semi-trailers, roll-off lidded containers, and refrigerated trailers. We serve customers in the food, beverage, liquid sludge, and packaging industries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field or commensurate experience

  • 4+ years experience in production and/or operations

  • Previous experience in organic recycling operations is preferred.

  • Good communication (written/verbal) skills, organized, goal-oriented, accountable

  • Team leadership skills

  • Must fit with company culture and business practices

  • Must have strong analytical and reporting skills

  • Ability to do the physical requirements of the job

  • Microsoft Office experience required

  • Must be competent in the Microsoft Office suite of products

  • Physically be able to lift 50 lbs., perform all job duties of processing supervisors, work in various all-weather conditions

  • Bilingual in English & Spanish is a must

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
     

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate employees to work as a team in meeting company production goals and objectives

  • Provide leadership, direction, and development to the production assistant managers and their teams.

  • Responsible for general daily cleanliness of the facilities (interior and exterior)

  • Responsible for coordinating maintenance and repairs of equipment and facilities (exterior and interior)

  • Ensuring availability of yourself or experienced staff during off-hours in case of emergency

  • Responsible for all required record-keeping as required by management, compliance, scheduling of production staff, and scheduling of production needs as determined by customer

  • Creating and managing demand/management forecast

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Position

  • Year-round work at 40-50 hours per week on average

  • Availability as needed for emergency situations  

 

Compensation

  • Base pay $75,000-$90,000

  • Percentage of the company’s profitability (TBD)

  • Benefits

    • Healthcare reimbursement up to $300

    • 2-3 weeks paid vacation (exact amount TBD)
