Susa Wash Open Top Tote Cleaning System

A critical part of ShurGreen’s holistic recycling process includes the on-site totes program. These durable totes allow segmentation of products in a leak-resistant, stable, and 100% washable container that helps to ensure pathogen reduction and uniform application of antimicrobials through a fully-automated cleansing process. This entire circular process is applied prior to every delivery. 

ShurGreen partners with the Susa Corporation (the Industrial Parts Washer Division of Dunnage) out of Fraser, Michigan to customize and install a Wash Open Top Bin Cleaning System.

    • Automatic Fill - solution make-up
    • Header - v-Jet nozzles, lower rotating 360⁰ header
  2. Wash Station
    • Pumps - 60 hp; centrifugal, 480v; 3-phase 60 cycle
    • Tank Size - 2500 gallons
    • Work Area - 168” L x 45" W x 40" H
    • Heat - natural gas
    • Automatic Fill - solution make-up
    • Header – v-jet nozzles, lower rotating 360⁰ header
  3. Heater Rinse/Sanitize Station
    • Pump - 3 hp, gear pump, 480 v, 3-phase 60 cycle
    • Tank Size - 250 gallons
    • Work Area - 144"L x 45"W x 40"H
    • Heat - electric four (4) 12 kw heaters, 48 kw total
    • Automatic Fill - solution make-up
    • Header - single pass
  4. Conveyor (Pre-wash/Wash)
    • 48" inlet /48" outlet conveyor wings

Dunnage Wash Systems, Inc. was established in 1989 with a vision from a major automotive company.  The automotive manufacturers were directing all tier suppliers to incorporate returnable packaging in their operations that would require cleaning after each use.  With this vision in mind, Dunnage Wash Systems, Inc. built the first low-cost returnable container cleaning system in the industry. Their product line expanded into a variety of industrial applications including bin, pallet, and container washers.
